Los Rios Community College District is home to four student-centered colleges – ARC, CRC, FLC, and SCC. They have over 120 career education programs in a variety of sectors and tasked us with helping them increase enrollment.
In 2020, Golden1 Credit Union sought to build awareness of its services in the investment realm. The best way to make eligible members aware of Golden1’s Investment Services was an explainer video showcasing – step by step – how it works and what options were available.
Golden1’s audience was identified as both “the loyalist” and “the everyman,” which meant that we had to make complex and nuanced concepts approachable while also using precise and careful language that highlighted Golden1 as a truly full-service credit union.
My role was to storyboard the two-minute explainer video in collaboration with the copywriter. Golden1’s brand style is simple and sharp. I wanted the video to reflect that while also adding in some playfulness. The use of round shapes and icons gives the brand a more friendly touch, and the white line that follows you from start to finish of the video is a visual representation of the emotional connection and care a smaller credit union can give you.
